How the heuristic evaluation works
Unlike a UX Audit, this service does not involve user interviews, usability testing with real users, or an in-depth analysis of your business, analytics, or product strategy. Instead, our Product Designer evaluates your interface against recognized UX heuristics to identify usability issues, inconsistencies, and areas where the experience can be improved.
This service is designed to provide a quick assessment of your product's usability and determine whether there are significant UX problems that require further investigation.
A Heuristic Evaluation is an excellent first step if you want an expert opinion before investing in a more comprehensive Workflow UX Audit or Deep UX Audit.
This evaluation is a good fit if
Improve your UXYou feel your product's design looks outdated or less polished than your competitors'.
You suspect there are usability issues, but you're not sure where they are or how serious they are.
You use your own product and notice that some workflows feel confusing, inconsistent, or not as smooth as they should be.
You're receiving occasional user feedback about usability but don't yet have enough evidence to justify a full UX Audit.
You want an expert review of your product against established UX best practices.
You're considering a Workflow UX Audit or Deep UX Audit but would like a faster, lower-cost assessment first.
You want to validate whether your product has significant UX issues before investing in more extensive research and redesign.
As a resultWhat the evaluation gives you
A report outlining the usability issues identified by our Product Designer.
A prioritized list of findings, ranked by UX severity and potential business impact.
An explanation of why each issue matters and how it may affect usability, conversion, retention, or user satisfaction.
Actionable recommendations for addressing the identified issues.
Clear guidance on the next steps, including whether your product would benefit from a Workflow UX Audit or a Deep UX Audit.
Recommended add-on: Pair your Heuristic Evaluation with a UX Workshop. During the workshop, our Product Designer will walk you through the findings, explain the root causes behind the issues, answer your team's questions, and help you prioritize the most valuable improvements. This interactive Q&A session ensures your team fully understands the recommendations and has a clear action plan moving forward.
Other services
UX Workshop
A two-hour working session with a Product Designer who reviews your product beforehand and arrives with findings ready. Your team sees the main usability issues, asks questions live, and leaves with a prioritized plan.
A team that needs UX answers without committing to a full audit

Workflow UX Audit
A focused review of a single user journey inside your app: onboarding, checkout, email campaign creation, account registration, or any other critical workflow. If one specific flow is bleeding users, this is where we look first.
High churn and low retention inside a specific workflow

Deep Product UX Audit
A comprehensive evaluation of your entire product from both a usability and a business perspective. When retention is dropping across the product and no one can point to the root cause, a deep UX audit finds it.
Broad, product-wide retention loss with no clear root cause

Pre-Launch UX Audit
A comprehensive UX review for products that have not yet launched. We find and fix critical usability issues before your first real users ever see them.
An unvalidated, unpolished user experience ahead of launch

F.A.Q.
We focus on digital products with real complexity: fintech, CRM, marketing and SEO tools, MedTech, EdTech, PropTech, and AI-based apps, across both web and mobile. If your product has heavy logic and multi-step flows, it is squarely in our wheelhouse.
Start with the problem, not the deliverable. If a single flow is underperforming, a Workflow UX audit is enough. If retention is dropping across the whole product, a Deep product UX audit finds the root cause. Not sure? Book a call and we will point you to the smallest engagement that solves your problem.
We can, but we rarely recommend it. The analytics stage is where we turn assumptions into evidence, and skipping it means designing in the dark. If you already have solid research, we will review it and move straight to design; if you do not, a short discovery pays for itself.
It depends on how wide the problem is. Choose a Workflow UX audit for one specific journey, a Deep product UX audit when the whole product is losing users with no clear cause, and a Product heuristic evaluation when you need a fast expert read before committing to a larger project.
Timelines depend on scope, but most audits take one to three weeks, and a full product design engagement runs from a few weeks to a couple of months. After a short scoping call we give you a concrete timeline before any work starts.
We use AI to move faster without cutting corners: accelerating research synthesis, exploring more design directions early, and automating the repetitive parts of delivery. Every decision that reaches your product is still made by a senior designer.
