About project
General information
Treso was created as a FinTech payment platform MVP for businesses and individuals operating in complex regulatory environments. The platform provides a secure and compliant way to manage financial transactions, with financial operations and infrastructure powered by Rail. Our role was to transform business requirements and external API documentation into a clear, development-ready product covering customer and administrative workflows.
Deliverables
The project included business analysis, UX/UI design, branding, a reusable UI kit, an interactive prototype, and development handoff. We delivered 53 screens covering customer and administrative workflows, along with a complete design system built on MUI.
Problems & solutions
We identified four key challenges during the Treso project and addressed each with a focused design solution.
- UX
1. Complex Requirements
Requirements came from multiple sources, including the client, business logic, and external Rail API documentation.
Solution:
We translated technical and business requirements into structured user flows and clear interface behaviour before moving into detailed UI design.
- UI
2. Tight MVP Timeline
The client needed a functional MVP quickly while maintaining a consistent and scalable interface.
Solution:
We used the MUI design library as the product foundation, accelerating both design and future implementation.
- UX
3. Complex Financial Flows
The platform needed to support onboarding, fiat and crypto wallets, transactions, verification, and multiple financial states.
Solution:
We transformed complex functionality into predictable flows with clear statuses, validation, feedback, and information hierarchy.
- UX
4. Customer & Admin Experiences
The product required both an intuitive customer-facing application and powerful administrative functionality.
Solution:
We created separate user and admin experiences while maintaining one consistent design system across the platform.
Wireframes
The wireframes focused on defining a clear structure for the payment platform and simplifying the core financial flows. We mapped key screens for account management, fiat and crypto assets, transactions, and counterparties, creating a consistent information hierarchy and intuitive navigation. This stage helped validate the MVP logic before moving into the final visual design.
Design process
From business analysis to development handoff, each step was designed to transform complex FinTech requirements into a clear, development-ready product.

Discovery & Business Analysis
Collected client requirements, defined the MVP scope, and structured customer and admin functionality.

UX research & product requirements
The design team goes deep into your product, defines the requirements, and runs user research so we can set up a UX architecture grounded in evidence rather than assumptions.

Wireframing
Created structured low-fidelity flows for the main product areas and key interaction states.

Interface design
We apply your brand to the wireframes, tailor the branding to the product, and give the product its final shape through interaction design and clean, purposeful UI.

Design iteration & handoff to development
We run design sprints, deliver increments after each one, and gather feedback continuously, keeping the whole thing lean and close to your development team through a smooth handoff.

Metrics monitoring & ongoing support
We track the UX metrics that matter, support your developers, and make sure the design that ships matches the design we planned. The work does not end at handoff.
Colors & typography
The Treso design system is built on customized Material UI foundations. Typography uses a clean, professional type scale optimized for data-heavy financial interfaces.
